Skånelaholms Castle & 1 of 4 outbuildings

The main building of brick was built in the 1640’s and received its present appearance in 1891. The four buildings at the corners of the courtyard were built around 1760.

During the 1200’s, the property belonged to King Magnus III who sold it to Skokloster Monastery in 1276.

Construction of the castle is believed to have been finished in 1643, indicated by a stove fragment with that date discovered during restoration.

The castle is not currently inhabited, but is shown to visitors during the summer.
