BIG Ship Carving – at least 4 feet long

The carving of this large ship faces southeast, following the hills edge along the former beach. Today, it is landlocked, the sea far from here.

The ship might appear a little strange, but it is a stylized image of a real boat. One such boat, 2300 years old, was found in Denmark and showed the same features displayed in this carving. It was wide enough that two men could sit abreast for rowing. It had space for 20-24 men.

This carving is the biggest in the area and shows seating for at least 20 men.
