L’eglise Saint Matthieu (Church of St. Matthew)


The original church was built in the late 1100’s, but needed to be rebuilt in the late 1400’s of volcanic tuff and slate.

The tower had to be demolished repeatedly in 1620, 1820 and in 1887 due to numerous lightning strikes.
