Husby-Sjutolft Church

The oldest part of this church is the sacristy which dates to the 1200’s or 1300’s and originally belonged to an earlier wooden church. The nave was most likely constructed during the 1300’s and the steeples, which were used as defensive towers, added in the early 1400’s. During the late 1400’s the porch was built and brick arches fitted to the nave. Sometime between 1470 – 1480, the interior was painted with biblical murals done by Albertus Pictor. His signature is above the sacristy’s entrance.
