Svedvi Kyrka

This church was built sometime during the 1200’s – 1300’s in Romanesque and Gothic styles called a transition church. It is currently used mostly for funerary services, baptisms and weddings. Mass is held a few times a year and occasionally church concerts.

Svedvi’s vicarage was demolished in the 1960’s and the ground has become part of the cemetery. Famous people who are buried here include the industrialist Hans von Kantzow (1887-1979) and Swedish singer Elof Lars Thore Skogman (1931-2007)
