Kungsåra (King’s Oar) Church

Construction on the current stone church began in 1751 and was inaugurated in 1753, replacing a former church of Gothic design which likely dated from the mid-1300’s. It was built on the same basis as the medieval structure. Twenty years after its completion the tower was added. In 1804 the nave barrel vault replaced two poorly designed cross vaults.
